  • Amber Iacocca

    General Manager

Amber spent years working in the San Francisco Bay area managing teams at large tech companies and at start-ups. While her career was advancing, she was not enjoying the world of tech and her husband encouraged her blend her management skills with her passion for fitness. The stars aligned when she found out Club Pilates was opening in SLO and was hiring a General Manager! While Amber enjoys other workout routines, she is passionate about Pilates because it hyper-focuses on muscles. She enjoys the precision to Pilates and is a sucker for the torture of the Pilates Hundred. She loves those moments when she notices her body achieving more during class and truly loves how the strength and balance achieved through Pilates carries on into her life outside the studio. Being new to the Central Coast Amber was surprised, in the best way, with how quickly members started to feel like friends/family. It's a joy for her to get to know members and to hear about different things they have going on in their lives. She’s also been impressed with how many new friendships she’s witnessed between members, born from just taking classes together. Outside of the Studio Amber simply loves life. Between travel, concerts, runs on the beach, boating on the lake, any enjoying street tacos Amber has the most fun raising her Labradoodle puppy, Marlo. Life is short, eat desert first!

  • Jana Powell

    Instructor

Jana used her formal education in business to manage various fitness facilities in California and Hawaii and was first introduced to Pilates in 2006. Initially she found Pilates to be difficult but once she understood the concepts and the proper form, she grew to love it… with her favorite exercise being the Pilates Pushup. Jana’s teaching style is a direct result of her first experiences with Pilates and she wants her students to have fun and feel successful. She teaches her students that Pilates is about form and control; which is developed over time and with practice. Jana received her comprehensive Pilates certification through Club Pilates and aspires to be a Master Trainer. She has numerous additional fitness certifications through AEA, AFAA, NASM, ISSA, Red Cross, Arthritis Foundation, MOSSA, LES MILLS, TRX, ZUMBA and RIPPED. Outside of the studio Jana loves to hike, travel and spend time with her family (including 8 sisters and 1 brother!) and she lives by the mantra “Eat Cake for Breakfast”. Lemon pound cake to be specific.

  • Kelli Poist

    Instructor

Kelli suffered from chronic back and shoulder pain and she began physical therapy when she was eleven. She was intrigued about Pilates, took her first lesson in 2002 and never looked back. She jokes that at 23 she couldn’t raise her arms to change a lightbulb but now can change every lightbulb in the house! While she loves the footwork element of Pilates her favorite exercise is the teaser because it takes complete control to execute… you can’t cheat on a teaser! Kelli teaches a contemporary style and stays true Joseph Pilates principles. She likes to challenge her students and has occasionally heard the murmur of “Mean Kelli”, though those murmuring students are always the first to book her next class. Through personal experience Kelli knows that Pilates truly is for every body. Her passion is working with people with scoliosis and those who are recovering from injuries or suffering from pronounced imbalances. Identifying different body movement patterns, muscle imbalances and alignment issues and then helping to correct them gets Kelli excited to come to work every day. Kelli received her first Pilates certification from Infinite Dynamics and went on to receive a comprehensive certification from the Pilates Education Institute. Additionally, Kelli has a BA from Humboldt State in Recreational Administration. Outside of the studio Kelli loves to stand up paddle board, hike, camp, spend time with her 4 boys, and tend to her chickens.

  • Mindy Esau

    Instructor

Mindy’s love for Pilates stems from years of work in Physical Therapy. She loves that Pilates is a fun, variable and effective workout that creates strength, stability and mobility that supports every other movement, activity and sport we perform... and it makes us feel great!! Mindy’s teaching style is one of education. Understanding the 'goal' or 'why the exercise is beneficial' helps clients take ownership and connect to the movement to create their best results and truly experience the mind-body benefits. Mindy received her comprehensive Pilates certification through STOTT and has many other fitness-related certifications including Barre, TRX, Yoga, Aquatics, Sports Medicine and Indoor Cycling. Additionally, Mindy is a Cal Poly graduate with a Masters in Kinesiology and is CPR and AED certified. Outside of the studio Mindy can be found snowboarding, paddle boarding, kayaking, practicing photography or playing on the beach with her family and her Rhodesian Ridgeback Excellence doesn't just happen, it's a decision you make every single day!

  • Lindsey Hamilton

    Instructor

Lindsay grew up as a dancer and was introduced to Pilates in college. She instantly fell in love because it reminded her of her ballet classes. As she began to practice Pilates regularly, she fell in love with the health benefits, the positive atmosphere, and the fact that there are modifications so that everyone can have a successful workout. Lindsay teaches motivational and enthusiastic classes with a hint of Southern charm and she like to work her favorite exercise, the Mermaid, into class. She truly loves to see the students progress in their personal Pilates journey. Lindsay received her Pilates certification through Club Pilates. She also has a B.S. in Nutrition & Dietetics and a B.S. in Physical Activity & Health. Outside of the studio Lindsay loves site-seeing, trying new restaurants and cheering on the Auburn University War Eagles football team.
